Since the early part of this year, I have been going through a personal metamorphosis. It came to a head after I returned from my summer retreat at Kripalu. I couldn’t make reference to QoLCRUSADER without feeling extremely uncomfortable. It seemed the crusader inside me who once felt she had to FIGHT for the right to care for herself… had been tamed. And I completely understood why. Care of the self was a way of life for me and my family, so there was nothing to keep fighting for.
I do continue to feel enormous compassion for those in pain or suffering from depression, who abandon all that is dear to them for the good of others; their boss, their partner, their family. . . and how much they all suffer because of it. With that said, I am no longer on a crusade for quality of life, but on a journey, striving to improve it. I invite you all to take this journey with me and allow me to share with you what I have learned over the past 15 years.
Change does not happen randomly, you have to want it so bad that you are willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen!
So, in addition to the weekly newsletter, which will now be called JourneyWellness Weekly, I will be conducting wellness workshops by phone and in person at JourneySpace (temporarily in my home) and other NYC locations. Workshops will include Life Strategies, Transformative Rhythm & Voice, JourneyDance, and Visual art.
