We all make excuses for why we aren’t happy, why we don’t accomplish our goals or attain what we want. It seems life is conditional. “When I make lots of money, I’ll start a family” or “When I have more time, I’ll exercise”. The problem is that, until you get to where you think you’re going, you’re going to be miserable. There is absolutely no reason for you to torture yourself. Again, life is like driving on a hilly road with many ups and downs until you reach the final destination. So instead of beating yourself up, why not learn from and enjoy the ride? Most important, acknowledge that excuses are nothing more than a reflection of your own inner fears and just stop. Stop excuses dead in their tracks, and start taking responsibility for yourself and your actions.
