Keeping Your Eyes on the Prize!

Hard to believe, JourneySpace is up and running in a new space!

When I think back and reflect on my experience; what it took to get us here over the past 2 months, I am amazed I got through it! It took every ounce of my strength and understanding to manage the wave of emotions, physical and mental challenges I faced every day.

I so desperately wanted to give up; to put myself out of this misery fast!

But something inside urged me to believe and to keep moving forward. I did not want to be that person who gives up on their dream just “three feet from gold”, so I pushed through… hard!

I Forced myself to get out of bed to pound the pavement, send emails, make cold calls. Ah, the dreaded… to ask people for money and help! Then muster the strength to do a little exercise and meditation in between to keep my sanity. I even ate ice cream when I had to, gaining 7 pounds :-(. So as you see, I got this done “by any means necessary!”.

I share this because I feel it is so important for all of us to know… that you too can push through your own challenges. Be willing to put your goal out there, big or small and make it happen, no matter the perceived obstacles. I will borrow this quote by Henry Ford from our yoga teacher, Maryse Karunaratne, “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.”

So I urge you to keep your eyes on the prize. Move forward, no matter the difficulty. Reach out to folks in your community in and outside of JourneySpace. Let us help keep you accountable and inspired. Let us help you achieve that “unattainable” goal.
